Governor Celina Leão champions sanitation leadership and school family festival in Brasília

Governor Celina Leão used the opening of the III National Meeting of Regulatory Agencies in Brasília to reaffirm the Federal District’s status as a national reference for basic sanitation. She highlighted the district’s leading sewage treatment and water distribution figures and announced plans to broaden the role of the District’s Water, Energy and Sanitation Regulatory Agency (Adasa) to oversee electricity supply through Neoenergia. Leão also called for a joint mapping project of regional water springs involving Adasa, Caesb and the local environmental agency to protect sources in the Cerrado.

Later, Leão attended the Festa da Família at Escola Classe 502 in the Itapoã Parque neighbourhood. At the event she reiterated the government's commitment to improving school infrastructure and fostering a culture of peace. The festival also showcased local women entrepreneurs, linking community economic support with public policy. Officials used the occasion to discuss neighbourhood development needs as the area expands with large housing projects.
