Governor Celina Leão supports gospel music fund line and faces Republican Party endorsement

Governor Celina Leão of Brazil's Federal District welcomed a proposal to create a dedicated line in the Cultural Support Fund (FAC) for gospel singers. The initiative, presented by the Federation of Evangelical Singers and pre‑candidate Renata Guimarães, was sent directly to the governor, who instructed the Secretariat of Culture to assess the request and move toward implementation.

During a Republican Party convention in the Federal District, Senator Damares Alves said the region does not need an "adventurous" governor, adding that "the DF needs a mother, a lioness." She also confirmed Gustavo Rocha as the vice‑governor candidate on the ticket supporting Leão’s re‑election bid.
