Governor David Monreal Opens Fourth Guadalupe Agro Fair, Boosting Local Economy

Governor David Monreal Ávila inaugurated the fourth Expo Feria Regional Agropecuaria del Progreso Guadalupe 2026 in Guadalupe, Zacatecas. He highlighted the role of livestock and agriculture as the foundation of stability for the state's 58 municipalities and announced the upcoming Foro del Campo Zacatecano on August 5 and a large Expo de Expos in September featuring a subsidy program for up to 400 new tractors.

The fair attracted more than 5,000 producers from across the region, generated an estimated economic spill‑over of nearly 200 million pesos for local merchants, and included a raffle that awarded a new tractor to farmer Silvestre García Ambriz. Mayor Pepe Saldívar praised the event’s impact on the local field and thanked the governor for the support, while Monreal recognized the municipality’s recent fiscal clean‑up, which will allow further investment in agricultural assistance.
