Governor Hugo Passalacqua convenes North Grande summit in Posadas

On 12 August, Governor Hugo Passalacqua hosted the North Grande regional summit in the capital of Misiones, Posadas. The meeting brought together the governors of the ten provinces that form the North Grande block and Argentina’s chief of staff, Diego Santilli.

The agenda focused on priority infrastructure, financing and investment projects for the northern and northeastern regions. Misiones reiterated its demand for the extension of the Paraná‑Paraguay waterway into the province, the arrival of natural gas, and the construction of new international bridges with Brazil and Paraguay. The summit aims to forge a common front to negotiate these projects with the national government.

The gathering underscores the province’s role as a strategic hub for regional dialogue and highlights the broader push for connectivity and economic development across the North Grande area.
