Buenos Aires Governor Kicillof denounces Milei policies in provincial speeches

Governor Axel Kicillof delivered two high‑profile speeches in the province of Buenos Aires. In one, he addressed the inauguration of the Casa de la Provincia, recalling past repression and accusing President Javier Milei of pursuing “cruel” adjustments that cut pension benefits, disability aid and public services. He warned that Milei’s government is trying to dismantle health, education and national sovereignty.

In a second speech at the opening of Secondary School No. 58, Kicillof condemned Milei’s veto of a law that would have financed public university teaching. He pledged to defend free, quality public education and highlighted the province’s ongoing infrastructure works—such as flood‑prevention projects—that continue despite the national suspension of public works. The governor urged voters to reject Milei’s agenda in the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Both remarks framed the provincial government’s commitment to continuing public works and social services while opposing the national government’s austerity measures.
