Governor Kundi calls for peace and Chinese investment in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Faisal Karim Kundi has emphasized that sustainable peace is a fundamental requirement for the province's development and prosperity. Speaking at an Urs ceremony, Kundi noted that the region has endured decades of terrorism and highlighted the sacrifices made by security personnel, politicians, and students to achieve stability.

Kundi also invited Chinese investors to explore the province's economic potential. He identified several key sectors for investment, including hydropower, minerals, agriculture, tourism, and industry. He noted that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the capacity to generate over 30,000 megawatts of hydropower and possesses significant natural resources and historic sites, such as the Gandhara civilization, which could drive religious and cultural tourism.

To support this growth, the Governor suggested utilizing Chinese expertise and technology to provide technical training and employment opportunities for the province's large youth population.
