Coahuila Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas Highlights Security, Development and Flood Recovery Efforts

In Frontera, Coahuila, Mayor Sari Pérez Cantú hosted an Interregional Peace Table, bringing together federal, state and municipal security agencies to coordinate actions aimed at maintaining public safety. Pérez emphasized teamwork, noting “Su presencia aquí es testimonio de una convicción que tenemos en Coahuila: la seguridad y la paz se construyen en equipo”.

Following extraordinary rains, municipal crews continued cleanup and debris removal in affected neighborhoods and schools, with the mayor pledging ongoing support for families.

Governor Manolo Jiménez Salinas warned that anyone who attacks or intimidates journalists will face the full force of the law, stating “Vamos a proceder con toda la ley”. He linked press freedom to broader security, describing Coahuila as “uno de los mejores lugares de México para vivir y para invertir” and underscoring collaboration with the United States to protect economic and border interests. Security projects and police proximity initiatives were announced to reinforce the state’s safety environment.
