Governor Marcelo Orrego Launches Final Stage of Evita Games in San Juan

Governor Marcelo Orrego officially opened the final stage of the Evita Provincial Games in San Juan on 4 August. The ceremony at Aldo Cantoni Stadium gathered about 1,000 spectators, officials and nearly 1,000 athletes from the province’s 19 departments. Over 2,500 participants will compete during the week for qualification to the national Evita Games, with events for youth, seniors and athletes with disabilities.

Meanwhile, the government of Jujuy is preparing the Trail de los 7 Colores race in Purmamarca for 9 August. More than 500 runners from across Jujuy and the NOA region are expected to take part in 5‑, 10‑, 21‑ and 35‑kilometre courses. Organisers, led by sports coordinator Aldana Noseda, have completed safety and logistics planning with civil defence, fire services and local authorities to ensure a secure competition.
