Governor Marcelo Orrego seeks London bond financing for San Juan infrastructure

San Juan Province Governor Marcelo Orrego travelled to London to present a bond issuance to international investors. Accompanied by Economy Minister Roberto Gutiérrez and Infrastructure Minister Fernando Perea, the delegation held four private meetings with global asset managers organized by J.P. Morgan and Banco Santander. They highlighted the province’s sustained fiscal balance, low debt levels and diversified economy, emphasizing leadership in solar energy, agro‑industrial development and upcoming large‑scale copper projects. The goal was to secure financing for critical road, water‑supply and energy infrastructure that will boost the province’s competitiveness. Investors praised the province’s public‑financial discipline and expressed interest in maintaining a direct dialogue. The delegation plans to continue its outreach in the United States.
