Inventec to invest $450 million in Ciudad Juárez, creating 6,000 jobs

Taiwanese server maker Inventec Corporation announced a $450 million expansion of its operations in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua. The plan includes acquiring a 36,000‑square‑metre building, constructing an additional 43,000 sq m on its Megasite campus, buying 30 ha of land and installing 45 new production lines. The investment is expected to generate more than 6,000 new jobs in the region.

Governor Maru Campos highlighted the project as evidence of investor certainty in Chihuahua, emphasizing the role of the rule of law, labor stability and transparent governance. She noted that the state has led Mexico’s electronics industry for 15 years and ranks among the top exporters to the United States. Inventec’s global vice‑president for manufacturing, Arch Chen, described the site as a key platform for high‑performance AI servers and semiconductor supply chains.
