Governor Maru Campos Opens Miguel Hidalgo Museographic Hall in Parral

Governor Maru Campos led the inauguration of the new Miguel Hidalgo museographic hall in the Plaza de la Identidad of Parral, a project intended to strengthen the southern tourism corridor. The hall houses the Gallery of Arms collection, featuring 19th‑century weaponry, uniforms, documents and artworks that illustrate the era of Mexico’s independence.

During the ceremony, Campos highlighted the link between the historic struggle for freedom and today’s efforts to improve education and public services. She was accompanied by Alejandra Enríquez, the state Secretary of Culture, and other municipal and state officials. The venue includes a bronze bust of Miguel Hidalgo by artist Victor Hugo Yáñez, sculptures by Eduardo Molina, and graphic displays of regional historical events, aiming to boost cultural tourism and public engagement with Mexico’s heritage.
