Governor Mauricio Kuri awards recognitions to 63 inmates in Querétaro

Governor Mauricio Kuri González of Querétaro presented recognitions from the State Service of Group Psychoeducation in Mental Health and Addiction Prevention to 63 incarcerated individuals who are close to being released. The ceremony highlighted the collaboration between the State Penitentiary System and the State Council Against Addictions, emphasizing the provision of psychological care, substance‑use screening based on World Health Organization standards, and skills‑building workshops to support effective social reintegration. Kuri stressed that the goal is genuine reintegration rather than "revenge" and praised the participants for maintaining drug‑free status during detention. The initiative aims to improve post‑release outcomes and promote public safety through preventive health measures.
