Governor of Punjab donates 10 acres of land to Indus Hospital

Governor of Punjab Sardar Saleem Haider Khan has announced the donation of 10 acres of land, valued at 1 billion rupees, to the Indus Hospital and Health Network. The land will be utilized for the construction of a state-of-the-art hospital in the Attock district.

Speaking at the closing ceremony of the Indus Hospital and Health Network’s eighth biennial conference in Lahore, the Governor emphasized that providing free medical facilities to the poor is a top priority. He noted that the new facility aims to serve residents in remote and underdeveloped areas who currently lack access to essential healthcare.

Additionally, the Governor highlighted the necessity of developing a healthcare system resilient to climate change, noting that floods and extreme weather conditions pose significant challenges to Pakistan’s health infrastructure. He called for integrating medical research and disaster management protocols into national health policies to protect vulnerable populations.
