Governor Phil Scott leads Amanda Janoo by 10 points in new poll

A new poll from Vermont Public indicates that Republican Governor Phil Scott holds a 10-point lead over Democratic/Progressive challenger Amanda Janoo. The survey shows Scott with 44 percent of the vote and Janoo with 34 percent among likely voters, with 16 percent remaining undecided.

These results represent a significant shift from a recent Green Mountain State Poll conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center, which had previously reported Janoo leading Scott 49 percent to 43 percent. While the two polls offer divergent views of the race, political analysts suggest the discrepancy may be due to different methodologies or the high number of undecided voters.

Scott’s campaign has characterized the Vermont Public poll as more accurate, while noting that public polling often undervalues his support. Meanwhile, the poll also noted that former Democratic Lieutenant Governor Molly Gray leads Republican incumbent John Rodgers by eight points in the lieutenant governor race.
