Governor Ricardo Gallardo expands direct social aid in Ciudad del Maíz, Mexico

Governor Ricardo Gallardo Cardona of San Luis Potosí led a meeting with community delegates in Ciudad del Maíz to broaden the reach of state social programs. By mid‑2026, the initiatives already assist more than 6,800 households, and the governor pledged to extend coverage to additional families through direct, intermediary‑free deliveries.

The plan includes permanent coordination with local representatives to pinpoint needs, accelerate aid distribution, and maintain transparency. Gallardo emphasized that the expanded support will continue across Ciudad del Maíz and the state’s 59 municipalities, aiming to improve conditions for families in all four regions of San Luis Potosí.
