Governor Sarah Sanders extends lead in Arkansas reelection poll

Republican Governor Sarah Huckabee Sanders has extended her lead in the Arkansas gubernatorial race, according to a new Talk Business & Politics-Hendrix College poll. The survey of 709 likely voters shows Sanders with 51% support, a significant increase from a 45% lead over her closest opponent in a mid-August survey.

Democrat Fred Love currently holds 32% of the vote, while Libertarian candidate Colt Shelby has risen to 11%. Undecided voters account for 6% of the respondents. Analysts suggest Sanders’ advantage is driven by a substantial fundraising lead, having raised nearly $8 million compared to approximately $237,000 for Love and $40,000 for Shelby. This financial advantage has allowed Sanders to increase her presence across social media, mail, and television advertising.
