Governor Sule backs Tinubu re-election for 2027
Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule has expressed support for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027, arguing that continuity is essential to consolidate federal development programs and economic reforms.
Speaking in Lafia during an event with the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement, Sule suggested that re-electing Tinubu would align with the principle of national unity, noting that northern leaders previously supported the transfer of power to the South. He argued that an eight-year tenure would allow for the proper implementation of major projects.
Sule also credited the administration’s economic reforms for increasing the state's capacity to execute capital projects. He noted that Nasarawa has completed over N100 billion in projects and cleared long-standing gratuities without commercial bank borrowing.
Additionally, during the 30th anniversary celebrations of Nasarawa State, the Governor highlighted the state’s mineral wealth, including the presence of Africa’s largest lithium processing plant, and urged citizens to maintain peace and respect during upcoming elections.
