Governor Umo Eno honors late matriarch Jenny Ufot

Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno, alongside former governors Udom Emmanuel and Victor Attah, attended the funeral of Deaconess Jenny O. A. Ufot in Etinan Local Government Area. The deceased, who passed away at age 96, was the mother of media professional Udeme Ufot.

During the ceremony, Governor Eno honored the late matriarch by directing the Commissioner for Works and the Managing Director of Hensek Group to facilitate the completion of the Afaha Akpan Ekpo Road in Etinan before the end of the year. The Etinan Local Government Chairman, Uko Umoh, praised the governor for this gesture, describing the infrastructure project as a fitting tribute to the deceased’s legacy.

Former Governor Udom Emmanuel also attended, urging contemporary parents to emulate the discipline and wisdom of the older generation. The service included religious messages from Rev. Ekpedeme Effanga of the Qua Iboe Church.
