Governors Roberto Cidade and Celina Leão boost school construction across Brazil
Amazonas Governor Roberto Cidade visited the renovation site of the Alice Salerno Gomes State School in Manaus, overseeing upgrades such as a new kitchen, cafeteria, and air‑conditioned classrooms. During the visit he announced federal funding for 27 new schools in indigenous communities across 11 municipalities of the state, aiming to expand education access for traditional peoples.
Federal District Governor Celina Leão toured the construction of a new early‑childhood education centre in Recanto das Emas and participated in the GDF Obras program, which monitors public works in the region. Her agenda also included a visit to a social assistance project serving vulnerable families. Both officials highlighted the importance of improving school infrastructure and increasing early‑education capacity as part of broader government initiatives.
