Govind Dev Ji Temple announces special Janmashtami arrangements

The Govind Dev Ji Temple in Jaipur has announced updated darshan timings and special arrangements for the upcoming Krishna Janmashtami celebrations on September 4. To prepare for the festivities, the temple has initiated daily sankirtan and bhajan programs, which will continue through September 3.

On the main festival day, September 4, the temple will host a grand celebration including a special abhishekam of Lord Krishna with 425 liters of milk. The festivities will culminate at midnight with the celebration of Krishna's birth, marked by the firing of 31 cannons and special fireworks, followed by abhishekam darshan. Religious rituals such as Vedic chanting by six scholars and Shaligram puja are also scheduled.

Due to the expected influx of large crowds, temple administration has implemented strict security measures. Devotees are advised not to bring valuables, bags, laptops, cameras, or certain food items like coconuts and sweets into the temple premises. Such items must be deposited at designated locations outside the gates to ensure smooth crowd management and security.
