Gowa Acting Regent orders acceleration of budget absorption

Acting Regent of Gowa, Darmawangsyah Muin, has called for regional government agencies (SKPD) to accelerate budget absorption and improve performance following a period of administrative transition. Current budget realization in Gowa is reported to be below 50 percent, with some reports indicating levels as low as 19.5 percent due to recent political and administrative issues.

To normalize government operations, Darmawangsyah has announced the reinstatement of several officials who were previously suspended. He emphasized the need for cross-sector collaboration and the elimination of sectoral egos to ensure public services and development programs continue effectively. Despite the recent leadership changes, the Acting Regent stated that the Regional Medium-Term Development Plan (RPJMD) remains unchanged and will be pursued to fulfill previous commitments to the community.
