Goya tobacco workers complete professional phytosanitary training

The Ministry of Production of Corrientes organized a training program in Goya for more than 60 producers and workers from the tobacco sector. The course was designed to allow participants to obtain the Provincial Professional Phytosanitary Applicator Certificate.

Conducted at the facilities of the Tobacco Cooperative of Corrientes, the training focused on the responsible use of phytosanitary products, current regulations, personal protection, and equipment calibration. The program addressed Provincial Law No. 4,495/90 and National Law No. 27,279 regarding the management of empty phytosanitary containers.

José Giguer Molleví, Director of Plant Production, emphasized that the initiative aims to professionalize workers to increase safety and efficiency. The session included theoretical instruction complemented by practical exercises in regulating and calibrating sprayer backpacks. The event was a collaborative effort involving the Provincial Tobacco Institute, the Municipality of Goya, INTA, CASAFE, and Campo Limpio.
