Goyang City Council approves investigation into Sanhwang-dong golf course expansion

The Goyang City Council has approved an administrative investigation into the expansion of a golf course in Sanhwang-dong. The motion, proposed by Council Member Jang Yun-jeong and supported by 11 other members, passed during the 307th extraordinary session.

The investigation will focus on the legality and procedural legitimacy of the urban planning facility decisions regarding the expansion project located in Sanhwang-dong, Ilsandong-gu. A special committee will be formed to examine whether the project meets requirements for lifting long-term unexecuted urban planning facilities, while also assessing potential threats to citizen safety and environmental damage.
