Goyang City to host tap water safety campaign at Ilsan Lake Park

Goyang City will host a ‘Tap Water Safety Assurance’ public relations campaign at Ilsan Lake Park on October 2. Held in collaboration with the Northwest Branch of K-water, the event coincides with the opening day of the Goyang Autumn Flower Festival.

The campaign aims to promote the safety and excellence of Goyang's tap water and improve public perception regarding its consumption. Rather than traditional information distribution, the event features interactive programs, including a blind taste test where citizens compare the taste of local tap water with commercially available bottled water.

Additionally, officials will conduct sticker surveys to gather citizen feedback on water usage and perception. Participants in the taste tests and surveys will receive promotional items such as hand cream, lip balm sets, and parasols. The city continues to support water quality through services like the ‘Our Home Tap Water Safety Assurance System’ to ensure residents can trust their local supply.
