Goyu Nakagawa wins third consecutive Thai motorcycle race
Japanese road racer Goyu Nakagawa has secured his third consecutive victory in the Supersport 600cc (SS1) class of the NEXZTER BRIC Superbike Championship 2026. The 18-year-old rider, competing for the EEST NJT S-OIL Racing Team, achieved an overall victory during the third round held at the Chang International Circuit in Buriram, Thailand.
The race was marked by heavy rain and a red flag interruption, resulting in a shortened eight-lap contest. Starting from the fifth grid position, Nakagawa managed the wet conditions to finish ahead of the Pro class riders, securing a 5.005-second lead over second place.
With this win, Nakagawa has earned a perfect 75 points this season, holding a 19-point lead over the second-ranked rider. He enters the final round in November seeking to defend his title after becoming the first Japanese rider to win an annual championship with his team in 2025. Nakagawa, who moved to Thailand at age 11, has stated his long-term goal is to win in MotoGP.
