GP-MINI nas Escolas brings gaming and technology to Salvador public schools

The GP-MINI nas Escolas initiative is introducing gaming and new technologies to the public school system in Salvador, Brazil. The project aims to integrate innovation into the classroom by providing interactive experiences for students and specialized training workshops for educators.

Scheduled activities include sessions at Escolab Coutos in the Subúrbio Ferroviário on August 18 and at Escola Municipal Casa da Providência in the Saúde neighborhood on August 21. The program features various technological tools, such as virtual reality stations, video games, pixel art, 3D pens, and digital dance. It also includes games developed by local studios from Bahia and the game ‘Guardiões do Porto’, presented by Wilson Sons, which connects students to the reality of the Port of Salvador.

Beyond student engagement, the project focuses on teacher professional development. Workshops are designed to teach educators how to use games and playful methodologies as pedagogical tools to stimulate creativity, logical reasoning, collaboration, and problem-solving skills in the classroom.
