GPD announces Win Max 3 pricing starting at $1,750

GPD has announced the pricing and configuration tiers for its upcoming Win Max 3 handheld gaming device, powered by the AMD Strix Halo platform. The device is scheduled to launch on September 2 via crowdfunding.

There are three distinct configurations available:

- The entry-level model features the Ryzen AI Max+ 388 processor, 32GB of LPDDR5X memory, and a 1TB SSD, priced at $1,750. - The mid-tier model includes the same processor but upgrades to 64GB of memory and a 2TB SSD for $2,246. - The top-tier model utilizes the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 with 16 cores, paired with 128GB of memory and a 2TB SSD, priced at $3,499.

In response to potential criticism regarding the cost, GPD stated that as a smaller manufacturer, they lack the bargaining power of major brands and are navigating a memory market crisis. The company positioned the pricing as competitive within the Strix Halo handheld market, noting that their top-tier configuration is significantly more affordable than competitors like Ayaneo. Indiegogo supporters will also receive a free fan module.
