GPHG 2026 nominees announced for luxury timepieces

Several high-end horological timepieces have been named as nominees for the GPHG 2026 awards, showcasing advancements in luxury watchmaking.

Grand Seiko has introduced two nominees: the Hand-engraved Manual-winding Spring Drive, a limited edition of fifty pieces featuring a dial inspired by the Tateshina Waterfall, and the Spring Drive UFA Ushio 300 Diver, the brand’s first professional dive watch utilizing an Ultra Fine Accuracy calibre.

Other notable nominees include Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Master Hybris Artistica Calibre 945, a limited release of five pieces featuring a celestial sky chart and a flying Cosmotourbillon. Daniel Roth has submitted the Extra Plat Rose Gold Skeleton, an ultra-thin 6.9 mm timepiece utilizing re-engineered skeletonized movements. Finally, MB&F’s SP One has been nominated, featuring a pebble-like chassis and a unique mechanical design where the mainspring barrel, balance wheel, and time display appear to float beneath sapphire domes.
