GPTRACK50 reveals details for action RPG ‘Stupid Never Dies’
GPTRACK50, a studio founded by former Capcom producer Hiroyuki Kobayashi, has shared new details regarding its upcoming action RPG, ‘Stupid Never Dies’, showcased at Tokyo Game Show 2026. The game is scheduled for release on October 22, 2026, via Sega.
Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the story follows David, a weak zombie who falls in love with a deceased human woman named Julia. To bring her back, he must defeat the ‘King of Monsters’ (KOM). The developers describe the game’s aesthetic as ‘funky zombie action,’ blending punk rock visual styles with a romantic narrative.
Key gameplay mechanics include ‘Style Eat,’ which allows players to steal abilities by consuming enemies, and ‘Body Hack’ for physical modifications. The combat is designed to be visceral and direct, drawing inspiration from the gritty fighting style seen in ‘Chainsaw Man.’ Developers noted that while the visual effects are prominent, they are being balanced to ensure they do not overshadow the core action gameplay.
