GPW ETF market reaches record turnover in first half of 2026

The ETF, ETN, and ETC market on the Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) reached record turnover in the first half of 2026, totaling 3.44 billion PLN. This figure surpasses the entire turnover recorded for the full year of 2025.

As of the end of June 2026, 42 such instruments were listed on the exchange, with 14 new products introduced between April and June alone. The offerings include domestic issuers like Beta ETF and TFI PZU, alongside global providers such as Amundi, iShares (BlackRock), Vanguard, HANetf, Global X, and Virtune. Recent thematic additions include instruments focused on defense, uranium, copper, drones, and cryptocurrency-linked ETNs.

In June, turnover for these instruments reached 505.4 million PLN, representing a 166.2 percent year-on-year increase. Michał Kobza, a board member at GPW, attributed this rapid growth to the increasing role of passive investing in the Polish capital market. Due to this acceleration, GPW has released its first ‘ETF Bulletin on GPW’ in collaboration with Atlas ETF to present market data.
