Grace Cummings releases new album ‘Bloodhorse!’

Australian singer-songwriter Grace Cummings has released her new album, ‘Bloodhorse!’, under Sugar Mountains Records. The project marks a departure from more intimate styles, embracing a theatrical scale and kinetic energy through her collaboration with co-producer Jonathan Wilson.

Cummings described the recording process as a pursuit of authenticity, aiming to move past self-consciousness. The album features expansive arrangements, including the use of strings, choirs, and saxophones. As a stylistic contrast to the organic, labor-intensive production of the main tracks, Cummings also included a deliberately synthetic ‘bro-country’ song created using AI prompts.
