Grace Nortey burial scheduled for October 31 in Accra

The family of veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Nortey has announced that her burial service will take place on October 31, 2026, at the Forecourt of the State House in Accra. The service is scheduled to begin at 8:00 am, followed by a private interment for close family members. There will be no wake held as part of the funeral programme.

A thanksgiving service will be held the following day, Sunday, November 1, 2026, at St. Barnabas Anglican Church in Osu, also starting at 8:00 am. The family has requested that all mourners and sympathisers dress in all white for both events.

Grace Nortey, born in 1937, passed away on August 26, 2026, at the age of 89. She was a prominent figure in Ghana's theatre, television, and film industries, recognized for her decades-long career.
