Gracie Abrams releases new album ‘Daughter From Hell’

Singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams has released her third album, ‘Daughter From Hell,’ produced by Aaron Dessner of The National. The project continues Abrams’s signature ‘diary-style’ songwriting, characterized by intimate, raw, and urgent storytelling that often mirrors the immediacy of personal communication.

Dessner, who has also worked extensively with Taylor Swift, described the album as the deepest collaboration between him and Abrams to date, noting an expansion in musical vocabulary and a sharpening of her lyricism. While critics have noted the influence of artists like Swift, Phoebe Bridgers, and Lorde, the album's sound is rooted in the close-mic’d, folk-pop aesthetic established in her previous works.

The songwriting process for Abrams has been heavily influenced by her personal life and co-writing sessions with her childhood friend, Audrey Hobert, which transformed spontaneous emotional venting into structured musical narratives.
