Grad teatar festival hosts ‘Gidionov čvor’ in Budva

The production ‘Gidionov čvor’, based on a text by American playwright Jonaje Adams and directed by Ivan Vanja Alač, was performed at the Grad teatar festival in Budva. Produced by the Montenegrin National Theatre, the play explores sensitive themes including peer violence, upbringing, individual responsibility, and the consequences of broken communication.

The performance took place on the ‘Između crkava’ open stage, where the seating arrangement allowed for an intimate connection between the audience and the actresses. Actress Dubravka Drakić noted that rehearsals with high school students provided valuable insights, as the young audience reacted to the depiction of violence and its consequences differently than they might in a theoretical workshop setting.
