Gradara to host theatrical production featuring Francesca da Rimini

A new theatrical production titled ‘Francesca. Intervista mai concessa e mai smentita’ (Francesca. An interview never granted and never denied) is scheduled to perform at the Rocca Malatestiana in Gradara on August 12 at 21:00.

Written, directed, and performed by Ennio Cavalli, the play features a journalistic dialogue with the historical and literary figure Francesca da Rimini, famous for her role in Canto V of Dante’s Inferno. Actress Micól Pambieri will portray the protagonist, presenting her as a contemporary and introspective figure who addresses her legendary love for Paolo and the circumstances of her death.

Commissioned by the Municipality of Gradara, the event includes a collaboration with fashion designer Alberta Ferretti, who provided the costume for Pambieri. The production aims to revitalize interest in the figure of Francesca within the cultural context of Gradara, which houses an extensive collection of documents related to her history.
