Gradiant expands India operations with new leadership and five industrial contracts

Water technology company Gradiant has announced several major developments in India, including the appointment of Hari Prasad as Managing Director for the country. Prasad, who has nearly 30 years of experience in water technology, will oversee growth in the semiconductor, data center, and energy sectors.

The company has secured five new design-build contracts across the semiconductor, printed circuit board (PCB), and solar manufacturing industries. These projects involve providing ultrapure water, wastewater treatment, and zero liquid discharge (ZLD) systems to help manufacturers comply with local discharge regulations. Notably, one contract is a repeat order from a global chipmaker for the expansion of a fabrication facility.

To support this expansion, Gradiant plans to increase its Indian workforce by more than 40% this year, focusing on engineering, project execution, operations, and digital roles. The company’s engineering center in Coimbatore will support both domestic projects and global operations.
