Gradiška sequoia preservation and Belgrade museum expansion

In Gradiška, experts from the Faculty of Forestry in Banja Luka have been called to assess the health of a unique sequoia tree. The tree, planted in 1960, has grown to over 20 meters in height and is the only specimen of its kind in the area. Its preservation is a priority following construction work on the Gradiška Forestry Management administrative building, which required the removal of several other trees due to safety concerns and structural risks.

In Belgrade, the Museum of the City of Belgrade is set to become the largest museum in Serbia following the reconstruction of the former Military Academy building. The project, which expands the facility to 17,400 square meters, involves integrating the historic 1899 structure with a new annex. The complex is expected to house approximately 150,000 items and will include spaces for exhibitions, research, and restoration. A portion of the museum is scheduled to open during Expo 2027, with full completion anticipated by 2028.
