Grado hosts VI Democratic Memory Days through October

The municipality of Grado is hosting the VI Democratic Memory Days from September 19 to October 4. The program features various artistic and cultural expressions, including dance, poetry, cinema, and photography, held at the Teatro-Auditorio, the Casa de Cultura, and El Rellán.

Key events include a dance performance titled ‘Gochos’ by David Blanco and Sergio Toyos, a poetry presentation by Myriam Moral Rato, and the screening of the short film ‘Tierres’ regarding repression during the Civil War. Additionally, the Association of Professional Photojournalists of Asturias will present a photographic projection regarding the Popular Front government in Asturias.

The proceedings will conclude on October 4 at the El Rellán estate with a tribute titled ‘From mass grave to place of memory.’ This final event will include a floral offering at the mass grave, the unveiling of an information panel, and the presentation of recognition and reparation diplomas to families.
