Graduation ceremonies celebrate vocational trainees in Heilbronn and Oldenburg, Germany

On 28 July 2026, the LebensWerkstatt for people with disabilities in Heilbronn held a graduation event for 13 former apprentices in special education nursing and one trainee in IT system management. The graduates presented their final projects to colleagues, school leaders and partner‑school representatives, received applause, a book presentation and thanks to mentors.

Earlier, on 23 July 2026, twelve students of the generalist nursing programme at the Pius‑Hospital school for nursing professions in Oldenburg received their certificates. The cohort—eleven women and one man aged 19 to 35—from Pius‑Hospital, Johanneum Wildeshausen and St. Marienhospital Friesoythe highlighted teamwork, mutual support and the challenges overcome during three years of study. Several will continue at the hospital, while others plan moves to new care settings or travel before entering the workforce. The next intake starts 1 March 2027.
