Graševina declared Croatia's knightly white wine in Našice

The European Wine Knights Order (OEVE) has convened in Našice, Croatia, to host a professional panel and ceremonial event focused on Graševina, the country’s most significant white wine variety. The gathering, held at the Pejačević Castle, addressed the strategic potential of the grape and the challenges posed by climate change, which has led to an unprecedentedly early harvest.

During the event, the OEVE officially declared Graševina as the ‘knightly white wine of Croatia.’ The festivities include a ceremonial parade of knights in traditional attire, the intronization of new knights and ladies, and the official proclamation of the European grape harvest in Feričanci. The event aims to promote Slavonian viticulture and rural tourism, highlighting the region's ability to adapt to shifting agroclimatic trends.
