Grafenwöhr to host benefit concert for childhood cancer aid
The city of Grafenwöhr will host a benefit concert on Saturday, September 19, at 7:00 PM in the Stadthalle to support Kinderkrebshilfe Oberpfalz Nord e. V., an organization aiding children with cancer.
The event features the approximately 50-member Royal Netherlands Air Force Men's Choir alongside the Grafenwöhr City Band. The choir, composed of veterans established in 1980, performs a diverse repertoire ranging from classical to modern pieces, including songs such as ‘Take Me Home, Country Roads’, ‘You’ll Never Walk Alone’, and ‘What a Wonderful World’.
Grafenwöhr holds specific significance for the choir members due to the local NATO training area. Admission to the concert is free, though organizers are requesting donations for the charity. Doors open at 6:00 PM, and while beverages will be available, no advance seat reservations are permitted.
