Gragnano launches MONDOPASTA 2026 festival celebrating global pasta culture

From 11 to 13 September 2026, the town of Gragnano in Campania, Italy will host the three‑day event "Gragnano Città della Pasta 2026" under the brand MONDOPASTA!. The festival is organised by the Consorzio di Tutela della Pasta di Gragnano IGP in partnership with the municipality of Gragnano and the Campania regional authority.

MONDOPASTA! aims to place pasta at the centre of cultural exchange, showing how the Italian staple has travelled across continents and been re‑interpreted by different culinary traditions. Highlights will include collaborations with star chefs, gastronomic experts and the Laboratory of Food Anthropology, offering tastings, workshops and presentations that trace pasta’s history from its local roots to its worldwide adaptations.

Continuing the motto “Tutto il resto è contorno” (the rest is side‑dish) from previous editions, the programme emphasises pasta not only as a food product but as a conduit for human relations, heritage and intercultural dialogue.
