Gragnano to Host Global Pasta Festival in September 2026

From 11 to 13 September 2026, the town of Gragnano in Campania will stage the third edition of “Gragnano Città della Pasta.” Organized by the Consorzio di Tutela della Pasta di Gragnano IGP together with the municipal authorities and the regional government, the three‑day program will showcase pasta as a cultural centerpiece, linking Italian traditions with culinary practices from around the world. Chefs, food anthropologists from the Laboratory of Food Anthropology (LAC), and international culinary experts will guide visitors through a “world pasta” itinerary that highlights diverse ingredients, techniques and interpretations.

A separate piece revisits the life of Anna Gosetti della Salda (1916‑2017), a Milan‑based food writer and journalist celebrated as a modern‑day Artusi. Born in Viadana, she built a career in advertising and culinary publishing, contributing to Italian food culture through magazines, radio and television, and was remembered in 2017 as a pioneering figure in mapping Italy’s culinary flavours.
