Graham Norton mocks Eurovision 2026 hosts in Vienna

The Eurovision Song Contest 2026 final was broadcast live from the Wiener Stadthalle arena in Vienna, Austria. The show was presented by Victoria Swarovski, heir to the Swarovski jewellery empire, and actor‑screenwriter Michael Ostrowski. BBC commentator Graham Norton, who has provided Eurovision commentary since 2009, opened the broadcast with a series of jokes aimed at the presenters, saying "presenting a television programme isn’t rocket science until you see these two do it" and describing Ostrowski’s outfit as looking like he was "selling balloon animals". Norton also claimed Swarovski’s black sheer dress was adorned with jewellery worth £4.5 million. Viewers reacted on X (formerly Twitter), many sharing the remarks with hashtags such as #Eurovision and noting Norton’s commentary as a highlight of the night. Austria is hosting the contest for the third time after last year’s victory.
