GrainCorp announces redundancies and auctions surplus assets

GrainCorp is undergoing a corporate restructuring that includes up to 75 redundancies. Chief Operating Officer Klaus Pamminger stated the overhaul aims to streamline structures and centralize core capabilities like planning and quality standards, while leaving operational delivery to regional teams. The company noted that the restructure is intended to improve responsiveness to growers and customers without changing the company's physical site footprint.

In conjunction with these changes, GrainCorp has been auctioning surplus assets in the Coonabarabran region of New South Wales. Recent auctions saw the sale of the Bugaldie site for $130,000, a Drummond Street property for $320,000, and a Cowper Street property for $280,000. Several assets remain on the market, including the Ulamambri site, which is listed for $620,000, and a vacant block on Cowper Street priced at $130,000.
