GrainGrowers forms new advocacy ties with state farmer groups

Grain Producers South Australia (GPSA) and NSW Farmers have signed memorandums of understanding with GrainGrowers, a major national grain grower organisation in Australia.

These two state-based organisations previously parted ways with the national advocacy group Grain Producers Australia (GPA) earlier this year. The new agreements aim to strengthen collaboration and increase the collective influence of grain producers on national advocacy issues.

GPSA chair John Gladigau stated the partnership would bolster South Australia's influence on national advocacy, while NSW Farmers vice president Justin Everitt noted the deal provides opportunities for New South Wales growers to shape national priorities. GrainGrowers chair Rhys Turton indicated the collaboration would provide better value for growers by amplifying their impact on critical issues.
