Granada advances bid for European Capital of Culture 2031

Granada has entered the second phase of its candidacy to become the European Capital of Culture in 2031. The project has completed its final Bid Book, which has been expanded to 100 pages following recommendations from European experts. The document is currently undergoing design and translation processes.

During an annual meeting in Málaga, social councils from over fifteen Andalusian cities expressed their formal support for the bid. Representatives emphasized that the initiative has evolved from a local effort into a regional project intended to project Andalusian culture across Europe and strengthen the social and economic standing of the entire autonomous community.
