Granada and Málaga host cultural and digital sovereignty events

Granada will host several major pop culture events during the second half of October, focusing on comics, illustration, anime, and video games. Key gatherings include the Salón del Cómic de Granada, ExpOtaku, and Japan Week, offering activities related to cosplay and digital entertainment for all ages.

In Málaga, the EmpoderaLive international meeting celebrated its 20th anniversary under the theme ‘20 years building Citizen Digital Sovereignty.’ Organized by the Fundación Cibervoluntarios, the event addressed the governance of technology and artificial intelligence. Speakers, including representatives from the United Nations AI Governance Laboratory, discussed the need for equitable digital ecosystems, the balance between humans and machines, and the protection of neuro-rights in the face of advancing neurotechnology.
