Granada and Motril Chambers demand action for Ceuta

The Chambers of Commerce of Granada and Motril have expressed solidarity with the business community and population of Ceuta following the assault on the border between Spain and Morocco on July 30.

Presidents Gerardo Cuerva and Julio Rodríguez have called on the Spanish government to implement measures to restore normalcy to business and civic life. They expressed concern regarding the uncertainty caused by the presence of thousands of Moroccan citizens who participated in the assault, noting that the current situation is creating public order and sanitary issues.

The leaders criticized what they described as Spanish passivity fifteen days after the incident, demanding a “state policy and not an ideology” to ensure that Ceuta and Melilla can function as stable environments for residents and entrepreneurs.
