Granada City Council resolves cleaning dispute at CEIP Sierra Elvira

Families and the AMPA El Socavón of CEIP Sierra Elvira in Granada held a protest at Plaza del Carmen to demand better cleaning standards for the school's dining hall. The group reported that since the start of the school year, the floors had not been regularly mopped or disinfected, creating potential health risks for the approximately 400 children using the service daily.

Following a meeting between representatives and the Granada City Council's Maintenance department, the planned protest was postponed. The City Council committed to having the cleaning company take responsibility for the dining hall floors immediately. Additionally, a technical meeting with the regional government (Junta) will be scheduled to determine long-term responsibility for the service.
